Classical 90.9 WGUC:
fulltime classical music station plus local recordings of the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra, May Festival, Cincinnati Opera, and other local performing groups.


91.7 WVXU/88.5 WMUB:
Cincinnati's NPR affiliate, broadcasting a variety of news and talk programs during the day, and some of the most popular public radio programs on weekends. An award-winning local news team provides coverage of the top stories of the region, and local programs include Cincinnati Edition, Around Cincinnati, and the podcast Looking Up.

 

Internship Opportunities:

We are now accepting internship applications for the Summer 2019.

NEWS: gives you the opportunity to observe and work in all areas of the WVXU news department. Internships will include a rotation through the various aspects of the news department including observing hosting, reporting, editing, and producing. CONTENT: gives you the opportunity to observe and work with program producers on research, scheduling, and audio production for multi-platform content.

MARKETING: gives you the opportunity to observe and work with the communications professionals on special projects, events, social media and written content.

PRODUCTION: gives you the opportunity to observe and work with audio engineers and producers on recording (in-studio and on-site), editing, and production.

DEVELOPMENT: gives you the opportunity to observe and work with fundraising professionals on all aspects of the fundraising process, including individual contributions, major donor cultivation, foundation grant writing and planned giving programs.

ADMINISTRATION: gives you the opportunity to learn about the finance procedures including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and financial reporting.

CLASSICAL MUSIC LIBRARY:gives you the opportunity to observe and work with the Music Director on library management, research and special projects. Study of classical music required.

Cincinnati Public Radio is located behind Music Hall. Scheduling is flexible, but all interns must commit to a minimum of 15 hours per week for 9-12 weeks. We can work with any requirements from your school. CPR participates in UC's work study program.
